I just got the most exciting call ever from my friend Taylor.  He got us press passes and event tickets to the Langerado Music Festival.  Some of my favorite bands are going to be there, with the Beastie Boys, R.E.M., and Phil Lesh and Friends as the headliners.  It is being held at Big Cypress Indian Reservation in the South Florida Everglades.  I am excited that it is there.  It really is a place where so much other major musical events have gone down.  There are so many bands there that I want to see, I can’t even imagine how I am going to see all of them.  In addition to being hooked up with the tickets, we are going to get to interview a lot of the bands that are playing there.  We will be doing a preview of the festival, reviews after and during it, and we are discussing doing a running blog during the festival.  One band that I am specifically looking forward to seeing is Medeski, Scofield, Martin, and Wood.  I have seen them a couple of times without John Medeski, but I really want to see them with.  It’s not that often that you get to say you saw someone who played with Miles Davis.
